The Art of Banksy Melbourne showcased a retrospective of paintings, sculptures and screen-print by the infamous street artist, Banksy.
The show was curated by the artists’ former manager and agent, Steve Lazarides. And whilst the exhibition did not directly involve the artist himself, all artwork had been exhibited and sold by Banksy to private collectors around the world. Melbourne was the third stop of this international exhibition, having previously been shown in Istanbul and Amsterdam. The exhibition ran from the beginning of October till the end of January (Spring – Summer).
The City of Melbourne, considered as the Stencil Capital of the World, already held much admiration for Banksy, having been visited and gifted many street pieces by the artist in 2003 (although many have since been lost).
Branding, copywriting, print and online marketing campaign, which included: Press and Magazine Ads, Billboards, Tram Wrap, Flags, Banners, Posters, Flyers, Website, Digital Ads, Social Media and Email Campaigns.
The project also included the naming, branding and print collateral for the galleries bar and outdoor area, Circle and Railyard.
Five Creative assumed full creative control for The Art of Banksy – Melbourne exhibition and delivered with endless amounts of content for both the traditional and digital media campaign.
The exhibition ran for almost 4 months and during this time required large amounts of creative messaging to be pushed out, Five Creative did this and always went above and beyond our expectations!
