Your website is a crucial part of your business and therefore requires extra care to make sure it continues to perform all of its functions. Just like your smartphone needs updating and optimising, so too does your website.
In the past, we have performed updates on an ad-hoc basis, or our clients have managed these updates themselves. Neither scenario is ideal as without monthly maintenance and ongoing upgrades to plugins your website cannot perform at its best.
To ensure the ongoing maintenance of your website we have developed a series of Website Care Plans. Not all levels of care will be required for all websites, but at a minimum, we strongly recommend opting into our base-level Care Plan to ensure you have a website that is in optimum condition at all times.
Monthly update to all of your website's software (WordPress core files and plugins). This ensures your website is operating at its optimum level and on the latest version available at all times.
Our Website Care Plans include the following services on a daily, weekly and monthly basis:
Our Website Care Plans only look after the software and security updates required for your website. They do not include amendments to the look and feel of your website, or any content updates.
We find that many of our clients also require ongoing assistance with the front-end of their website so we have also developed our Management Plans as an add-on service.
Our hosting is built on Amazon Web Services (AWS) with unmatched performance and reliability.
Coupled with a Care or Management plan, our Managed Cloud Hosting Platform allows you to focus on your business and avoid all the web hosting hassles.
Hosting costs are $40 + GST, per month. Charged annually.
Our Care Plans ensure the ongoing maintenance of your website and protects against malware attacks by keeping all software updates up to date to keep your website in optimum condition.
Our Care Plans ensure your website is running at its best and keep WordPress and all plugins updated, store regular backups, and assist with additional preventative maintenance including; virus scanning, firewalls, and ongoing security monitoring. This gives you peace of mind that all software is up to date, secure against any unwelcome attacks and that your website is actually online and operational for your customers and users.
Requests are submitted via email which are reviewed and you are informed of the time to complete the task. Time is allocated in 30-minute increments.
The monthly time is there for you every month to reserve your place in our queue and our resources, therefore it does not roll over each month.
Our clients on Management Plans are placed in a priority queue and updates are made within 72 hours. We understand that urgent updates are sometimes required and we can get these done within 24 hours.
The whole purpose of our Care Plan is preventative care. However, in the case your website is compromised or breaks we assist to get you back online with minimal delays by identifying the problem or recovering a recent backup. We cannot promise your website will not be hacked, but we can promise we will do everything we can to prevent it.
Content update requests and small design improvements are the most common requests however, anything that can fit into your monthly support time is free game. Some of our clients use their time for digital marketing consulting, others for further training. We just ask you to be aware that requests for new features to your website will likely result in a formal quote as those commonly go over the monthly dedicated time.
If you have a task that requires more than your dedicated monthly time, we will submit a quote for you to approve separately from your plan. However, many times we will evaluate requests that exceed your time on a case by case basis, and with approval, work past the time and bill for time exceeded at our current support rate of $150/hr + GST.
We accept all major credit/debit cards via Stripe payment. We prefer that all payments for plans are made with our autopay functionality. If you prefer to pay by Bank Transfer we can organise for a yearly invoice to be generated.
Yes, we don’t lock you into any ongoing contracts. You can request a cancellation at any time via email to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will cancel your plan within 30 days.
All our plans are completely optional, however, we strongly advise a minimum of the Care Plan.
If you are not on a plan we are happy to offer support or perform updates to your website at our standard hourly rate of $150 + GST with a minimum charge of 1 hour.
Please note, priority is given to our clients who are on our Management and Care Plans.
